“Happy Endings” by Margaret Atwood

April 24, 2006 by aaron
Margaret Atwood uses her short story Happy Endings to show that it is not the end of a story that is important it is the middle. She seems to say that the endings are all cliché that the middle is the part that is unique. This holds true with literature versus a beach novel although a beach novel and piece of literature may end the same way it is the rest of the book that makes one different from the other.

“I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and True Equality.

April 20, 2006 by aaron
“I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” shows many examples of racism but what it does not say is that the basis of racism is equality, when one person thinks of himself as better than another person based on the color of their skin it is racism. But what is equality? Is equality the government saying you can not deny this person a job for this or that reason? The two party system: just because you don’t lose doesn’t mean you win.

Show or Hide Until

April 15, 2006 by aaron
This plugin provides a BBcode that hides or shows text depending on the date. If you are using the rich text (not WYSIWYG) editor you will be provided with two simple buttons that will insert the BBcode into your post. The bbcode looks like: ‘[hide_until=”Year-Month-Day Hour:Minute:Second”.]Some text here[\hide_until]” or ‘[show_until=”Year-Month-Day Hour:Minute:Second”.]Some text here[\show_until]”. A couple notes: The time stamp format is very important. There must be hyphens (-) between the Year, Month and Day, a space, and then colons (:) between the hour, minute and second.

I don’t usually do this, but this was too good to not share. The following video is about a little Kiwi (the flightless bird from New Zealand) and was someones masters thesis.
