INAP 3.0 finally revealed.
Posted on Friday the 2nd of November, 2007 at 10:52 pm in Asides, PluginsLadies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, and all the rest of you who dislike being labeled. I now present to you, in living color, the one and only AJAX’d Wordpress.
AJAX’d Wordpress or aWP is a complete rewrite of INAP that will allow features to be added and modified very quickly. This plugin is truly modular and unlike INAP, is completely customizable. While not available for download just yet, it has now gone live on this website. For those of you that are technically inclined, you will quickly be able to see the changes by viewing the source, Javascript and AJAX responses, but for the rest, you will be able to see the smoother functionality and the more attractive behavior.
Documentation has to be written and expanded and a few features still need to be improved, but we are looking at a RC release in a few weeks. Once a few adventurous users test the Release Candidate, aWP will officially replace INAP and INAP will be completely replaced by aWP — think of aWP as a rebranding and upgrade rather than a different plugin.
As this is a BETA plugin right now, let me know if you find anything wrong with this website, so I can make sure aWP is not the cause.

I’m glad you are interested, but the plugin is going through a few final changes before it will be released. It will either be released the end of this week or next, and there will be a news post when it happens.
Reply to AaronI’d be interested in Beta-testing this. I used Inline-Ajax-More and Inline-Ajax-Comments prior to Wordpress V2.2, but for some reason I’ve been unable to get INAP to work with WP V2.3.1
Reply to NeilHi, looking forward to using your plug in as really want tos how the comments box inline on the same page as the posts.
I noticed when using firefox 2.0.0.9 that clicking the small grey ‘x’ at the top right of the comments box does not close the box as I would expect,. a javascript error is produced instead.
Error: aWP.request is not a function
Source File: http://anthologyoi.com/#respond
Line: 1
Also, when you open tow comments boxes, if the first one you open is at the bototm of the page, then the second one is at the top, if yuo start entering info into the second one you opened (at the top of the page) then when you use ‘tab’ to go to the next field, if jumps to the comments box you opened first at the bottom of the page
Looking forward to seeing aWp in action and hope these comments help!
Cheers
Euan
