I’ve been trying and trying to get AWP to have comments and comment forms open by default, and it won’t work. I’ve clicked all the boxes to have them shown, I have tried a variety of other options, but no way. I’ve even changed themes, uses simple comments on and off, etc., but no dice. As a matter of fact, I can’t really tell that AWP is really doing anything at all! Why not?!?!? And how will I know if it’s working?

Did you edit the theme like it says to in the documentation? If not, go ahead and click the AWP readme link.

Sorry I didn’t read the ENTIRE readme.txt - it was near the bottom… I never edited php files before, but it was easy…. now I’m gonna read more and see what else I can do… :) thanks for your quick response to my idiocy!
