Environmentalism and Solar Power Website Review
I was worried I would not be able to retain my integrity and use PPP, but I have lucked out and found the perfect opportunity because I get to review an environmental website which I actually use.
AboutMyPlanet.com is an article and forum driven, general information website that deals with all issues surrounding environmental and other “green” concerns, and, among its most notable features, runs off of WordPress. But this is, unfortunately, not a review of their excellent platform choice and attractive design, but a look into their treatment of solar power, one of many different categories, as a way of creating a sustainable and livable future.
The articles that they have thus far published are insightful and the collection as a whole is balanced between the scientific, useful and interesting, and their treatment of topics within solar power are varied ranging from current events, to geopolitical effects and policies in implementing solar power on a local basis.
Succumbed to the temptations of gold and glitter.
I finally did it, I thought long and hard and — even though I know I said I never would — I joined payperpost. Honestly, I’m doing it for the money: while this site doesn’t cost very much to run, the costs in man-hours is enormous, and it is hard to spend hours and days each week working on my various projects when there are bills to pay. I had hoped that donations would be enough to allow me to spend the necessary time creating plugins and programs for general use, but, even though I appreciate each one greatly no matter the size, donations are sporadic at best.
However, I do have my integrity, so I promise that sponsored posts will only be a means to an end on this website, and will never be so prominent as to remove the focus from the ideas that this website was founded on.
